Weave Something Special

Sharp intake;
the unblinking eye drags
ragged red behind it.

Cut the thread;
snapped skein of
sentences,
trailing.

Stranded
for sew long, love;
threadbare,
worn out.

The spool spills as
we unwind,
but the tangle too tight
and deft fingers
stitch us back together,
seamlessly.
